Two recent COVID-19 outbreaks at a place of worship and in a congregate living setting have both been deemed over by CK Public Health.
Public Health continues to list three current workplace outbreaks, including confirmed outbreaks at both Taco Bell and KFC in Chatham.
Wednesday’s report from the local health unit also includes three new infections and five recoveries, decreasing the active case count from 32 to 30.
One local Chatham-Kent resident remains in hospital with the virus.
The municipality’s totals stand at 469 cases, 436 recoveries and three deaths.
Ontario reported 1,417 new infections today as well as a second-wave high 32 deaths linked to COVID. The new cases include 463 in the Peel region, 410 in Toronto and 178 in the York region.
Those hotspot GTA areas could soon find themselves under new restrictions or a possible lockdown, with an announcement expected on Friday, according to Premier Doug Ford.
