The Thames Campus of St. Clair College is celebrating its Spring Convocation today.
Students will be graduating from Academic studies and nursing. The ceremony will be held at the Capitol Theatre, and John Fairley, Vice President, College Communications & Community Relations for the college says:
“We have close to 200 students who are graduating total at the Capitol Theatre downtown. It’s great because it’s one thing for kids to go to school but the most important thing is when they graduate. We’re excited about it and its our 6th convocation for St. Clair college in about 5 days, so we leave the best for last in downtown Chatham”
Fairley also says there’s more planned for afterwards:
“After the convocation, everyone kind of flows out into the main street in front of the Capitol Theatre where there is a big tent put up where everyone has cake and punch and has a good time. We’re able to block the street for a few hours just to celebrate our great graduates of St. Clair College”
