2020 Festival of Nations Starting to Take Shape

It’s full steam ahead for organizers of the Festival of Nations.

A volunteer and information event was held at the Retro Suites last night, with a crowd of potential supporters and sponsors turning out.

Co-Chair Dava Robichaud says last year’s event was an overwhelming success, but also came with some lessons for this year.

“There were a lot of things that we didn’t think of, simple things like we didn’t have recycle bins,” Robichaud says. “Just little things like that. Some things that didn’t work out, somethings we didn’t think of that we know we have to incorporate this year. It’s  learning experience, that was our first year of doing anything this big, and now we know.”

Robichaud says it takes the whole community to help put on an event like this, and all input or suggestions are welcome.

The committee is still working on nailing down a headlining musical act for the weekend.

The Festival of Nations will take place July 3rd to the 5th in Chatham’s Tecumseh Park.
