Last week’s Swing into Summer event raised over $2200 for Fort McMurray.
Chatham-Kent Fire & Emergency Services and Monsignor Uyen Catholic School partnered with the Toronto Blue Jays and the Fire Marshal’s Public Fire Safety Council for the campaign.
The event had a family picnic, a BBQ, and a kickball game against Chatham-Kent firefighters. The money was raised through food sales, and will go to the Red Cross and the residents of Fort McMurray.
A Grand Prize of 4 Toronto Blue Jays baseball caps and 4 field-level tickets to a Jays game was given away at the event.
