Aging infrastructure in Chatham-Kent has one councillor thinking about Ridgetown’s future. 
Ward 3’s David VanDamme wants to see whether Ridgetown and other smaller communities could benefit from a Community Hub.
“What we’re proposing to do is take the Seniors’ Centre and potentially amalgamate it with other groups that would want to come forward,” VanDamme says. “The Youth Centre, potentially a brand new library, and potentially a new municipal centre.”
The proposed hub would bring together multiple services and organizations to create a single location for residents to visit.
Location possibilities include Main Street and Erie Street in Ridgetown.
