Local residents are being encouraged to sign up and be a part of a 24-hour vigil planned for the cenotaph in Wallaceburg ahead of Remembrance Day.

Wallaceburg residents Nick Cadotte and Rick Bernard are co-ordinating the event and extending invites and encouragement to local businesses, service clubs, volunteer groups, sports organizations and individuals to take part and honour our local veterans.

The concept was inspired by a similar initiative in Chatham last year for the 150th birthday of Canada.

The Wallaceburg vigil will run over a 24-hour period starting at 11AM on November 10th.

Anyone interested in participating can visit 99.1 CKXS or contact Nick at 519-627-0007 or ncadotte@ckxsfm.com.
