Chatham-Kent’s COVID numbers are on the rise once again.

Public Health is reporting 24 new infections today and 14 cases resolved, raising the active caseload to 155.

Two more outbreaks have been declared – one at Riverview Gardens with two linked cases, and two cases at Naahii Ridge Public School in Ridgetown.

That brings to six the number of COVID outbreaks connected to elementary schools across Chatham-Kent.

At the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, there are 14 COVID patients in care, four of whom are in the ICU and two on ventilators.

Beds in the hospital’s intensive care unit are 8-0% filled, while capacity in the medical, surgical, and critical care units has reached 91.4%.

20 CKHA staff are now off work because of COVID-19.
