265 Kilograms of Drugs Seized at the Blue Water Bridge

Suspected narcotics seized at the Blue Water Bridge on January 13, 2022.

Details have been released following a major drug bust at the Blue Water Bridge.

The Canada Border Service Agency says back on January 13, a commercial transport truck was sent to secondary inspection at the border crossing, uncovering several large garbage bags and spare tires.

RCMP officers seized 265 kilograms of suspected heroin; suspected 2 c-b, also known as pink cocaine; and suspected methamphetamine.

The driver, a 23-year-old from Quebec City, is facing three charges each of importing drugs and possession for the purpose of trafficking under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

The matter is currently before the courts in Sarnia.
