The head of Water Wells First is gaining some provincial attention for water well issues in Chatham-Kent.
Kevin Jakubec joined area MPPs Monte McNaughton and Rick Nicholls at Queen’s Park earlier this week.
“I’m really happy to see that we can work side-by-side wit our two local MPPs and the Environment Critic to get after this, to hold this government accountable,” Jakubec says. “The big question’s going to be what happens when another two or three wells – and it’s not if, it’s when – when another two or three wells are damaged?”
However, when the activist approached Ontario’s Minister of Environment and Climate Change to discuss the effects of wind turbine construction on water well, Jakubec says he was snubbed.
