Chatham-Kent has three new cases of COVID-19 today.
CK Public Health is confirming 35 “active” cases in the municipality with three C-K residents remaining in hospital with the virus.
19 active cases are linked to the outbreak at a Blenheim place of worship, 12 are listed as close contact transmissions, two are connected to the new outbreak in a congregate setting and two are pending.
The congregate setting outbreak reported on Wednesday is now believed to be linked to the place of worship outbreak in Blenheim.
Public Health officials say the workplace outbreak previously affecting one positive case in C-K is no longer affecting any current active cases in Chatham-Kent. However, the outbreak has not yet been declared “over” as there are still some cases affected from outside of the municipality.
Ontario is reporting 934 new cases province-wide on Thursday. The Lambton Public Health unit recorded no new cases again today, with 9 new infections in Middlesex-London and 4 new cases in Windsor-Essex.
