3 Workplace Outbreaks In C-K, 3 New Cases

There are three new cases of the coronavirus reported in Chatham-Kent on Tuesday along with two new workplace outbreaks in the municipality.
That makes three total workplace outbreaks in C-K, along with current outbreaks at a place of worship and a congregate living setting.
One local Chatham-Kent resident remains in hospital with the virus.
The “active” case count increases to 32 with one additional recovery confirmed. Six active cases are now linked to the three workplace outbreaks with 9 cases still pending. Fifteen are listed as close contact transmissions, one is connected to the place of worship outbreak and one is unknown. According to the public health website, the congregate setting outbreak is not currently affecting any Chatham-Kent residents, but has not yet been declared over.
Chatham-Kent has had 466 total cases, 431 recoveries and three deaths.
Ontario is reporting 1,249 new cases across the province along with 12 deaths linked to the virus. The province says 133 new infections are school-related including 73 students, 23 staff and 37 unidentified.
