Plans are in the works for the 30th annual Walpole Island Spring Pow-Wow.

The two-day event is open to the general public May 18th and 19th at the Walpole Island Sports Complex Fairgrounds with no admission fee.

Grand Entries will be held each day at noon, plus a 6pm entry on the Saturday.

Other highlights include a COVID Memorial Dance to honour those who were lost during the pandemic during a time when traditional ceremonies were put on hold, and a Victory Dance to celebrate and acknowledge the Achievements and Successes of community members in sports, arts, culture.

The Spring Pow-Wow also includes vendors offering crafts, information services, and authentic Indigenous cuisine.
