Despite a jump in new case of COVID-19 in Chatham-Kent over the weekend, the number of resolved cases has lowered municipality’s overall active count.
Public Health says there were 36 positive tests since the last report on Friday, along with 43 recoveries, lowering the active caseload to 90.
There are currently four COVID-positive patients at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, three of whom are CK residents. Officials say one patient is on a ventilator in the ICU.
Public Health has declared the outbreak at an un-named church over. One more case has been linked to Hudson Manor in Tilbury, and the outbreak at A.A. Wright Public School in Wallaceburg is holding steady with no new infections.
There have now been 1601 COVID cases identified in Chatham-Kent since the pandemic began.
Around the region, Windsor-Essex is reporting 37 new cases, while Lambton County has added another 26 active cases and one more death linked to COVID-19. There are five patients being treated for the virus at Bluewater Health.
Province-wide, the Ministry of Health is reporting 10 more COVID-related deaths and 2094 new cases.
