A warning from Chatham-Kent police – although you should know better.
Never leave your pets in your cars these days as it is way too hot.
They are putting this out following an incident Tuesday that saw a 38-year-old Chatham man fined for leaving an animal unattended inside his vehicle when weather conditions are not suitable.
Officers were called to a parking lot on St. Clair Street, about a dog left in a vehicle, but the car was gone.
Police tracked down the owner at his residence to hand him a ticket for leaving an animal unattended in a motor vehicle when weather conditions not suitable.
The ticket was $365.
