Time is of the essence when it comes to installing a concrete median barrier along the 401.
That’s according to Alysson Storey, who’s been a vocal advocate for highway safety and preventing cross-over collisions on the busy highway.
With the provincial election a month and a half away, Storey says it’s vital that all parties understand the issue.
“They have all promised it but a lot of promises get made during election as we all know,” says Storey. “So we have to make sure that whoever is in power on June 8th has committed to that barrier and we have a safe and secure highway 401 for all of us.”
Storey says a collision near Charing Cross earlier this week that resulted in both a transport and passenger vehicle crossing the median into oncoming traffic is just another example of why a concrete barrier is so urgently needed.
