A busy night for emergency crews after a transport carrying produce caught fire on the 401.
Fire fighters and the OPP responded to the highway just east of Communication Road around 1 o’clock this morning.
The eastbound lanes were closed for over eight hours as crews put out the flames and began an extensive cleanup of the scene.
Luckily, no one was hurt.
