Over six-million dollars’ worth of drugs have been taken off the streets.
A joint investigation involving Ontario Provincial Police and authorities in Windsor was launched in the fall of 2024, with the identification of two primary members of a drug trafficking network, both with known ties to criminal organizations.
Officers with the OPP’s Provincial Guns and Gangs Enforcement Team, the Windsor Police Service, Border Enforcement Security Task Force, and other agencies carried out three residential search warrants on September 25, 2025, along with three search warrants on vehicles.
Evidence gathered then led to another search warrant at a Windsor residence, where large amounts of suspected fentanyl, cocaine, and heroin were found, along with thousands of hydromorphone and other illicit tablets.
Authorities say the drugs seized have an estimated street value of $6.5 million, and the fentanyl alone was enough for approximately 460,000 street-level doses, an amount capable of taking the lives of a moderately sized city.
Police also seized two loaded firearms and ammunition, body armour, a master key vehicle programmer and blank keys, and more than $170,000 in Canadian currency, among other items.
Two men were arrested. A 25-year-old Windsor man is facing a total of 27 charges, while a 28-yaer-old from Vancouver has been charged with 29 offences. Both were remanded into custody and will be back in court next month.
