7-Eleven Wants to Serve Booze in Chatham

Booze could be coming to a 7-Eleven near you.

The Chatham location at the corner of Grand and St Clair is one of 61 stores across the province that have applied for a restaurant-style license from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario to serve beer and wine.

The idea is to have so-called designated consumption areas where customers can have a drink, but the stores wouldn’t be able to offer retail sales.

The applications are open for public comment through the AGCO until March 11th.
