7 New Cases, 12 Recoveries, 27 Active In C-K

C-K Public Health is confirming seven new cases of COVID-19 in Chatham-Kent over the weekend, along with 12 additional recoveries and one positive patient being released from hospital care.
Chatham-Kent’s active case count falls to 27, from 32 on Friday, with two patients remaining in hospital. The municipality has reported 417 total cases, 387 recoveries and three deaths.
Two outbreaks at a place of worship and a congregate living setting are still listed as active on the health unit’s website. A former workplace outbreak was declared over last week.
Of C-K’s 27 active cases, 12 are connected to the place of worship outbreak, seven are close contact transmissions, five are linked to the congregate setting outbreak, two are pending and one is unknown.
Ontario reported 948 new infections on Monday, with the large majority from known “hotspot” regions. A total of 761 of today’s new cases are in Toronto, Peel, York, Ottawa and Durham. Windsor-Essex has 23 new cases today, with 11 in Middlesex-London and one new case in Lambton.
