A Chatham man is in critical condition after a hit and run.
Police say on Wednesday evening, the 71-year-old was hit by a vehicle at McNaughton Avenue West and Crane Drive in Chatham.
The driver of the vehicle left the scene before police could arrive. Through investigation, Chatham-Kent Police located and arrested the 19-year-old driver for failing to remain at a collision and criminal negligence causing bodily harm.
The 71-year-old victim was transported to Victoria Hospital in London and remains in the critical care trauma unit.
Any witnesses to the incident are asked to contact police.
