Chatham-Kent has another 9 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed on Friday.
CK Public Health says 93 cases are currently active in the municipality with 90 self-isolating and 3 in hospital.
222 cases are now considered recovered.
256 of the 317 total cases are considered to be close contact transmission with 20 cases travel-related.
On Thursday, 12 new cases were confirmed to be connected to a boat trip involving multiple local Chatham-Kent households.
Chatham-Kent has added 69 new cases over this last week, including 40 new cases reported after the holiday weekend.
Dr. Colby says a number of positive cases currently self-isolating should soon be cleared and added to the recoveries column.
Testing numbers are much higher than they ever have been locally, with as many as 500 tests being performed daily at the Assessment Centre and in their new walk-up mobile swabbing unit in the Assessment Centre parking lot.
