If you need to know the road conditions don’t call 911. 
Ontario Provincial Police along with the West Region Communication Center say numerous people have been calling 911 to get highway and road conditions.
While snow hasn’t been an issue in Chatham-Kent this year, further north drivers and the general public have been calling since the first November snow.
That’s not what 911 is for.
Instead, officials urge people to call 5-1-1, which is an MTO service that will provide information on 400 series highways.
