Our radio station, 99.1 FM CKXS, has an opportunity in our newsroom for an enthusiastic, professional broadcast/multi-media journalist
Our Company, Five Amigos Broadcasting Inc., a locally owned station in Southwestern ON, is looking for an Afternoon Drive News broadcaster. If you have a passion for working in your community, are driven to know what’s relevant, and love working with others, we would like to hear from you.
Here are a few other important attributes we are looking for:
• Ability to generate, write, and read news stories, weather, and sports focusing primarily on local and regional events and information;
• Create content for our online newspaper the Chatham-Kent Daily Post;
• Establish positive relationships with a wide variety of key community individuals;
• Attend news conferences, on-location broadcasts and public appearances as required;
• Strong telephone and interview skills;
• Be hard working with a flexible schedule.
Minimum requirements: Preference will be given to graduates of journalism or broadcast college/technical school with some experience in radio and/or news preferred. A valid driver’s license, and knowledge with Mediatouch a benefit.
