Tens of thousands of dollars has been raised in support of farmer and first responder mental health in the region.

Saturday marked the second annual Shifting Gears tractor parade, in support of Three Oaks Cabin.

Saturday’s event brought in over $25,000 to allow organizers to continue offering respite stays and counselling services free of charge for those in need.

Those funds, combined with the nearly $17,000 raised during June’s Hard Miles Run, will support ongoing programming for guests when they are staying at the respite cabin and following up with them once they return home. The programs are designed and led by registered therapists who understand the psychological difficulties faced by farmers and first responders.
