Disturbance at the Courthouse

An extra police presence was needed at the Ontario Court of Justice in Chatham this week.

Officers were called out Tuesday afternoon for a man allegedly causing a disturbance.

Officers found the accused, who they say was highly intoxicated and unable to care for himself.

The 54-year-old was arrested, given a provincial offences notice for public intoxication, and held in custody at police headquarters until he sobered up.
