Proceeds raised during a local summer food tour are supporting two local initiatives in Chatham-Kent.

Community Living Chatham-Kent held its Food Crawl event on July 18, which saw participants indulge in delicious food at various restaurants and mingle with friends to raise money for a good cause.

A portion of the proceeds raised during the event has been donated to the Craig Spence Memorial Golf Tournament to support a newly founded scholarship fund in Craig’s honour, and to the CK Gay Pride Association in support of CK Pride Week.

“This year’s donation choices highlight our organization’s unwavering commitment to fostering inclusivity and ensuring equitable opportunities for everyone in our community,” said Community Living spokesperson Jenny McGregor.

As a non-profit organization, Community Living Chatham-Kent said it is dedicated to enriching the lives of people who have diverse abilities by providing meaningful and inclusive opportunities.
