A Chatham man is facing charges following shoplifting incident late last week.
Police were called to a retail business on Friday and say the accused had been stopped by the store’s loss prevention officer.
According to police, the suspect was already under a court order banning him from the establishment.
The 47-year-old has since been charged with theft under $5000, possession of stolen property, and failing to comply with a probation order. He was released from custody with a date in court next month.
