Charges have been laid following an investigation into intimate partner violence in Wheatley.
Shortly before 1am on Monday, officers were called to a Moore Street home, but say the accused had already fled the scene.
Chatham-Kent Police say the suspect, a 25-year-old man, was already wanted for several charges, including assault and uttering threats.
Later that morning, the man was found at his own home and arrested.
The accused was held for a bail hearing and remanded back into custody until his next court appearance.
