A Chatham woman has been arrested following a trespassing complaint.
Chatham-Kent Police say the new owner of a Harvey Street building called police on Sunday after learning someone was living in one of the lower units, even though the apartment was believed to be vacant.
Police arrived to find a woman inside and originally arrested her for being unlawfully in a dwelling.
However following further investigation, authorities say there was no criminal offense committed and the 43-year-old accused was issued a provincial offences notice for entering a premises when prohibited, and released from custody.
