Organizers are hailing a weekend benefit for Chatham-Kent Hospice a huge success.
Over 350 people attended the 7th annual Chatham-Kent Hospice Benefit Gala at the Chatham Armoury Friday night, raising $133,068.
The sold-out “Colours of Compassion” event included an evening of fine dining, a diamond draw and golden ticket raffle, as well as both live and silent auctions. Anne English, winner of the golden ticket, was able to select an experience package from the silent auction and a pair of tickets to next year’s gala.
All donations, including sponsorship dollars, allow Hospice to offer end-life life care at no cost to families. The Hospice Foundation is tasked with raising $157,000 per month to help support medical equipment and supplies, personal care products, and other day-to-day expenses.
