A student nutrition program in Lambton County will be getting a needed boost to help ensure children have access to healthy food.
Noelle’s Gift to Children will receive $20,000 through Libro Credit Union’s annual grant program.
The funding will be directed toward the purchase of fresh fruits and vegetables for the Student Nutrition Program at 12 schools identified by the Ministry of Education as a priority focus based on material deprivation.
The nutrition program, which provides food to 47 schools in Lambton County, is one of 23 projects across southwestern Ontario that will receive a total of $310,000.
