Officials with the local English Catholic school board are putting the wraps on a year of upgrades at schools across the region.
The St Clair Catholic District School Board invested over $11-million in major improvements over the 2023-24 school year, which officials say reflect the Board’s commitment to providing high-quality, accessible learning environments to support student achievement.
Among the projects include various upgrades to Ursuline College in Chatham, including $858,952 for electrical and mechanical roof top unit replacements and $237,883 in renovations to the cafeteria.
The board spent $52,000 for a new fence, microforest, and monarch way station at St Michael School in Ridgetown, and $192,000 for new outdoor play equipment and learning spaces at various schools in Chatham-Kent and Lambton County.
