Impaired Driving Blamed For Single-Vehicle Crash

A collision west of St. Thomas has resulted in impaired driving charges for a Chatham resident.

Ontario Provincial Police responded to a single-vehicle collision on Ferguson Line near Wonderland Road in Southwold, at around 2:30 a.m. on Monday.

The driver and lone occupant was taken to hospital by EMS. No serious injuries were reported.

Following an investigation, a 46-year-old from Chatham is now charged with impaired driving and driving with a blood alcohol level over the legal limit. They were also issued a 90 driver’s licence suspension and their vehicle will be impounded for seven days.
