Traffic Complaint Leads To Impaired Driving Charges

Police are crediting a Good Samaritan for helping to take an alleged impaired driver off the road in Chatham-Kent.

The Ontario Provincial Police said officers received a traffic complaint on Monday and located the suspect vehicle on Highway 401 near Howard Road at around 3:25 p.m.

Following an investigation, the driver of the vehicle was arrested.

A 42-year-old Woodstock resident is now charged with impaired driving and driving with a blood alcohol level over the legal limit. The accused was later released from custody with a January court date.
