The ongoing Canada Post strike is having an impact on the CKHA Foundation.
The fundraising arm of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance has launched its 35th annual Christmas Wish Tree campaign. Organizers say the majority of donations to the campaign are typically received in the mail. However, officials say there are various other ways to make a contribution, including online, in-person at the CKHA Foundation office at 9 Ursuline Avenue in Chatham, or over the phone by calling 519-436-2538.
Envelopes that are usually mailed out to donors will instead be delivered as inserts in this week’s edition of the Chatham Voice.
Donations to the campaign honour lost loved ones, and also support the hospital’s most pressing needs. Last year, more than $170,000 was raised.
Two lighting ceremonies are planned, in Wallaceburg on Wednesday, December 11th, and Chatham the following night.
