Police have caught up with a wanted woman following a shoplifting incident at a Chatham business.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said a woman attended a St. Clair Street business on Sunday shortly before 5 p.m. and was seen scanning a few items before leaving with several others that had not been paid for.
Officers attended the store and located a 38-year-old Chatham woman who was arrested for theft. Authorities said the woman was also wanted on several outstanding warrants for theft offences.
The accused was taken to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.
