Half a dozen local councillors are in Toronto this week representing Chatham-Kent at the annual Rural Ontario Municipal Association conference.
Lauren Anderson, Michael Bondy, Amy Finn, Jamie McGrail, Carmen McGregor, and Morena McDonald, along with a handful of municipal staff, are taking in the three-day event alongside municipal representatives from across the province.
The conference provides rural municipal leaders with an opportunity to address policy issues, funding concerns, and meet directly with provincial ministers on issues of local importance.
The ROMA conference wraps up Tuesday.
