More vital equipment is being used at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, thanks to the generosity of local Legion members.

The Royal Canadian Legion Chatham Branch 642 recently donated $6750 to the CKHA Foundation to purchase three laryngoscopy units.

The hospital now has six dedicated video laryngoscope kits for each of its six operating suites, ensuring CKHA’s anesthesia care providers have immediate access to these crucial pieces of equipment for use in both scheduled and emergency situations.

The devices help guide a tube through a patient’s airway with improved visualization, improving intubation success rates.
