½ C. sugar
1 egg, beaten
½ C. canned pumpkin
1 C. sifted flour
½ tsp. salt
1 ¼ tsp. cinnamon
¼ tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. ginger
½ C. raisins
½ C. nuts, chopped
Baking powder
Preheat oven 350°. Cream shortening. Add sugar gradually. Cream until light and fluffy. Add egg and pumpkin. Mix well. Sift flour, baking powder, salt and spices together. Stir in dry ingredients. Mix until blended. Add raisins and nuts. Drop on a greased cookie sheet. Bake 350° about 15 minutes.
