A popular giveaway is returning to Chatham-Kent in the hopes of making the future a little greener.
The Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority’s Spring Tree Giveaway will take place on April 19 at C.M. Wilson Conservation Area.
Beginning on Wednesday, those interested can sign up online for their preferred tree species. Only one tree is allowed per order, however, those with multiple people in their household can submit separate orders.
The potted trees can be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. at 21799 Fargo Rd.
The giveaway is funded by TREE Canada and is also being held on April 12 at the Dutton Community Centre for eastern municipalities.
