A police traffic stop in Chatham has led to charges for a man and a woman.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said an officer on patrol stopped the vehicle on Park Street just before 4 a.m. on Thursday.
The officer discovered the woman in the car was breaching a release order by being outside during her curfew period. The man in the vehicle was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine.
Both were arrested and taken to police headquarters.
As a result, a 27-year-old Blenheim woman has been charged with failing to comply with a release order and was held in custody for a bail hearing.
A 25-year-old Chatham man is also charged with possession of a controlled substance. He has since been released and will answer the charge in court next month.
