
Charges have been laid after a man was repeatedly struck on the head with a golf club during an argument in Wallaceburg.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said an intoxicated man entered a home on an unspecified street early Friday morning and began shouting obscenities at the homeowner. During a verbal argument, the intoxicated man allegedly struck another man several times in the head with a golf club.
The victim was taken hospital to be treated but the severity of his injuries has not been released.
A 24-year-old Wallaceburg was arrested and is now charged with assault and assault causing bodily harm. He has since been released from custody with a future court date.
