One person has died following a collision involving a motorcycle on Highway 401 in Chatham-Kent.
The Ontario Provincial Police said officers were called to the westbound lanes near Victoria Road at around 2 p.m. on Monday following the collision.
A motorcyclist was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police have not indicated if any other vehicles were involved in the crash.
Authorities said they will not be releasing the identity of the victim out of respect for the family’s privacy.
An investigation into the cause of the crash remains ongoing and the westbound lanes of the highway at Victoria Road have been closed temporarily.
