
A pair of Chatham residents are facing charges following a theft from a local business.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to a retail store on Richmond Street in Chatham just before 8 p.m. on Tuesday, after a man and a woman were seen stealing several items before fleeing the scene
Store employees provided officers with descriptions of the suspects, who were located and arrested a few blocks from the business
As a result, a 31-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman, both from Chatham, have been charged theft Under $5,000, possession of property obtained by Crime Under $5000, and obstruction of a peace officer. The pair have since been released from custody with a June court date.
