A pair of Brampton men are facing charges after they were allegedly caught with nearly a dozen stolen credit cards and IDs in Chatham.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to a shoplifting complaint at a business on St. Clair Street just before 10 a.m. on Friday.

Two suspects were located at the scene and arrested. When the pair was searched, officers turned up ten identification cards, along with ten credit cards and gift cards, all of which were believed to be stolen.

As a result, a 31-year-old and a 32-year-old from Brampton have both been charged with theft under $5,000, possession of stolen property under $5,000, possession of an identity document, and possession of an illicit substance.

The pair are also wanted by other police services for similar offences across the province. They have been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
