A Wallaceburg man has been charged with impaired driving after reporting himself to police.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers received a call from a man shortly after midnight on Thursday who said he had consumed several alcoholic beverages and was feeling unwell both mentally and physically.
The man was located in a parked car on Electric Line in Dover Township and was arrested. Believing the man had been driving while impaired, the officers took the man to police headquarters for breath tests.
As a result, a 25-year-old Wallaceburg man has been charged with driving with a blood alcohol level over the legal limit. He was later released from custody with a future court date.
