Local residents can expect to see an increased police presence along the Thames River as officers conduct a search for a missing person.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said a coordinated search took place on Monday near the Third Street Bridge in Chatham, with aerial and marine support from the Ontario Provincial Police and Chatham-Kent Fire and Rescue.
An investigation remains ongoing, however, police officials are not providing any further details at this time to protect the privacy of those affected.
