Ride CK Bus Fares To Increase July 1

Those who utilize municipal transit services in Chatham-Kent will be paying a little more to ride the bus beginning next month.

Chatham-Kent will be increasing Ride CK’s fare structure beginning on July 1, in an effort to balance transit sustainability and affordability.

The cost to ride the bus using Cash Pass will increase to $2.28 for urban services in Wallaceburg and Chatham, and to $4.28 for all inter-urban routes.

The 30-Day Urban Pass will increase to $82.45 for adults, and to $64.78 for seniors and students. Low-income residents covered under the Affordable Bus Pass Program will see their pass increase to $41.23.

The Semester Pass for students at St. Clair College Thames Campus and the University of Guelph Ridgetown Campus will increase to $164.90 per semester.

For those paying exact cash, urban fares will remain at $2.75 and $5.25 for inter-urban. Children five and under will continue to ride for free with a paying caregiver.
