Police have finally caught up with a Blenheim woman who is accused of misleading police and skipping out on her court dates.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers located the 24-year-old woman on McNaughton Avenue in Chatham shortly before 9 p.m. on Monday and took her into custody.
The woman was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court on two separate occasions.
She was initially charged with obstructing a peace officer on September 17, 2023, after allegedly providing false identification to police during a traffic stop on Thornhill Drive in Chatham. She was also issued a ticket for driving without a licence.
The accused has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
