Chatham-Kent Police say an elderly man reported missing on Wednesday, July 9, has been found.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said the 79-year-old was last seen at around 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday on Park Avenue in Chatham. A GPS pinged his location at the eastbound Highway 401 OnRoute in Tilbury at around 12:30 p.m.
Shortly after 6 o’clock, authorities say the man had been found and was in a place of safety.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service has extended its thanks to everyone who assisted with the investigation.
